1. The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the Word of God, eternal, unchangeable, and sufficient for salvation, life and godliness.
2. The Godhead
We believe in the one Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, eternal in being, identical in nature, equal in power and glory, but distinct in person and roles.
3. Mankind's Creation and Fall
We believe that mankind is created in the image of God. The first pair rebelled against creator God, and as representatives of all who would follow, brought sin into the world, and so all mankind came under God's judicial sentence of death.
4. The Person and Work of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, came to earth on a rescue mission to save helpless mankind from God's judicial sentence of death. Having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, His righteous life, vicarious death on the cross, and bodily resurrection gained victory over sin, death and Satan. We believe in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who are in a saving relationship with Him will enjoy eternal fellowship with God and each other in the New Heavens and the New Earth.
5. SalvationWe believe in "justification by faith" –
that man is by nature a sinner, and that he can be justified before God only by faith in the finished substitutionary work of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace individually, having personally claimed the promise of salvation through the person and work of Jesus Christ on the cross, on our behalf. God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
6. The Church
We believe the universal church, which is the Body and Bride of Christ, is a spiritual community, made up of all those who have come to faith in Christ and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. So while we are saved as individuals, we are also saved into a community of believers, His bride, the church. The local church, then, is a visible manifestation of the invisible universal church, which is made up of all believers in all times and places.
